In Korean culture, Miyeok-Guk is made with brown seaweed. Many Koreans eat this dish on their birthdays, making this dish Korean Birthday Soup as it  is often served for a woman who just delivered a baby, because the nutrients that are contained in the seaweed are known to help with the recovery and also producing breast milk.
Miyeok-Guk is filled with Omega-3 and antioxidant that help to protect skin and hair from sun damage and other environmental damage.
For instance, according to "Alive: Canadian Journal of Health & Nutrition," omega-3 fatty acids feed hair follicles to stimulate growth  and zinc maintain hair production.Besides that,  vitamins A and C are also needed to produce sebum, which acts as a natural hair conditioner, giving your hair the silky smooth look that many Korean celebrities have.
